I’ve long held the belief that we’re not working in the property business – we’re actually in the people business. Selling a home, buying a home, renting a home or investing in property all engage our emotions. Understanding all of the emotions that are in play when buying/selling is absolutely fundamental to establishing a successful professional relationship with the clients we represent. Helping all of the agents that work under any brand umbrella to appreciate the importance and relevance of emotions is an extremely important aspect.
I think one of the most rewarding aspects of my work is helping to get extraordinary performance from my team. Leadership to me is all about painting a clear picture of our objectives, and then encouraging and guiding everyone in the team to contribute their very best efforts to achieve that goal.
When I see a new team member “grow” and “mature” as a result of the guidance they receive is a truly great feeling.
